Ploner Systems GmbH was established in 2021 to offer worldwide high level engineering, support and maintenance for Optical Ground Stations.

TEAM

Dr. Martin Ploner, Director of the Management Board

• 1991: Graduated with a degree in surveying with an elective in higher geodesy and geophysics from the Vienna University of Technology
• 1996: Dissertation at the Vienna University of Technology „CCD Astrometrie von Objekten des geostationären Ringes”
• Since 1991: Research work on the astrometric and photometric evaluation of passive optical satellite observations, distance measurement to satellites (satellite laser ranging), and the construction of autonomous observation stations, inter alia with the Leopold Figl Observatory of the Vienna University (Austria), der research base for satellite observations in Graz-Lustbühel (Austria) as well as at the astronomic institute of the University of Bern (Optical Ground Station Zimmerwald, Switzerland).

Andreas Wiede, Director of the Management Board

• 1993 Law degree at the University of Basel (Switzerland, Master/Lizentiat)
• 1996 Bar exam at the bar of the Court of Appeals of Basel-Stadt (Switzerland)
• Since 1995 Attorney at Law – research and practice focuses on contract, IT, travel and service law, as well as inheritance and insurance law
